Odors we treat

Whatever the smell, wherever it is.

Cigarette & cigar smoke

Nicotine film coats walls, ceilings, blinds, and fabric. It has to be washed off, not covered.

Pets

Urine, litter areas, and pet bedding. Enzyme cleaners break down the source.

Musty basements

Damp storage, laundry areas, and old boxes. We clean and tell you where moisture is coming from.

Closets

Stale air, mildewed shoes and bags, and mothball smell.

Cooking & grease

Fried food and spice odors that settle into kitchens and nearby rooms.

Cars

Smoke, pets, spilled food and milk, gym gear, and mystery smells.

What's included

What we do on every job.

Find the source

We track down where the smell is coming from before we treat anything.

Remove it

Vacuum, hot-water extraction on fabrics, and wash-down of hard surfaces.

Enzyme treatment

Enzyme cleaners break down organic odors like urine, vomit, and spilled food.

Vents & filters

Vent covers and registers cleaned, and filters checked, a common hidden source.

Air it out

Doors and windows open while surfaces dry, so nothing is sealed back in.

Straight answer

If a smell has soaked into padding, drywall, or a subfloor, we tell you before you pay for more.

Before we arrive

  • Remove personal items from the room, closet, or car.
  • Tell us what caused the odor if you know.
  • Pets out of the work area during treatment.

Not included

  • Mold remediation (see below)
  • Replacing carpet padding, drywall, or subfloor
  • Biohazard or hoarding cleanup
  • Painting or sealing walls

Why we don't use ozone machines indoors

The EPA warns that inhaling ozone can damage the lungs and that ozone at safe levels doesn't remove many odor-causing chemicals. We remove the source instead.

FAQ

Questions

Will the smell come back?

Not if the source is gone. If urine has soaked into padding or smoke into drywall, cleaning the surface won't fix it, and we'll tell you so.

Can you get cigarette smoke out of a house?

Often, yes. Smoke film sits on walls, ceilings, blinds, and fabric, so we wash it off room by room. Homes with years of heavy smoking may also need a sealing primer before painting.

My basement smells musty. Is that mold?

It can be. We'll clean, deodorize, and point out signs of moisture. If we find visible mold over 10 square feet, New York requires a licensed mold contractor to remediate it, and we'll tell you.

How long before I can use the room or car?

Usually the same day. Fabrics and carpets need a few hours to dry with windows open.
